SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - PART B
This manual B contains definitions of all potentially applicable parameters & specifications with icons, as per
International norms and safety standards. However not all of them may be applicable for the product you
purchased - please refer to the icons on the additional Manual A, for the ones which are particulary applicable
for this product.
• To ensure correct and safe installation, usage and functioning of the product, always follow these instructions carefully
and keep them for future reference.
• Always switch off the power prior to installation, maintenance or repair activities.
• Always consult a professional in advance, for choosing the right fastener for a secure mounting of the product. Take
into account the weight of the product and the material of the mounting surface.
• If in doubt, consult a qualified or licensed electrician or contact your retail outlet. Ensure the product is always
installed according to relevant regulations. Certain regulations indicate that electrical products must be installed only
by a licensed electrician (e.g. Part P for the UK, AS/NZS3000 IN for AUSTRALIA /NEW ZEALAND).
• Always tighten the terminal screws firmly, especially attachments for low voltage wiring (12V) (if applicable). It is
highly recommended to regularly check and re-tighten the terminal screws over time.• Observe the correct colour of
the wiring before installation: blue (N), brown (L) and if protection class I, yellow/green (earth).
• Maintain interior lighting with a dry cloth duster, do not use abrasives or solvents. Avoid liquids on all electrical parts.
• Mount wall lights out of children's reach.
• If the product is mounted on a metallic surface, this surface must be bonded to the protective earth conductor or to
the equipotential bonding conductor of the installation.
• Always consider all technical specifications of the product. Verify stated icons on the identification label on the
product and icons shown in part A of these safety instructions.
• Immediately replace a cracked or broken translucent cover and only use manufacturer approved parts.
• It is advised to only use “Philips”-branded bulbs.
• Keep packaging materials out of children's reach. (e.g. plastic bags,...)
• Disposal of the product. Your product is designed and manufactured with high quality materials and components,
which can be recycled and reused. When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is attached to a product it means the
product is covered by the European Directive 2012/19/EC. Please inform yourself about the local waste disposal,
separation and collection system for electrical and electronic products. Please act according to your local rules and
do not dispose of your old product with your normal household waste. The correct disposal of your product will help
prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.
ATTENTION: Below you will find all the explanations with numeric reference to the icons respectively in front
of these safety instructions:
01- The product should only be installed indoors.
02- The product is not suitable for installation in bathrooms, certainly not in the specified zone.
03- The product is suitable for mounting on normally flammable surfaces.
04- The product is not suitable for direct mounting on normally flammable surfaces.
05- The product is not suitable for covering with thermally insulating material.
06- The product is only suitable for mounting on the ceiling.
07- The product is only suitable for mounting on the wall.
08- The product is suitable for mounting on the wall or on the ceiling.
09- Always take into consideration the minimum distance, as indicated on the icon, between the lamp and the lighted
object.
10- IPX1: The product is protected against dripping water.
11- IPX3: The product may be exposed to raindrops (falling drops under a maximum angle of 60° to the vertical axis).
12- IPX4: The product is splash-proof: it may be exposed to splashing water coming from any direction (360°).
13- IPX5: The product is protected against water jets.
14- IPX7: The product can be installed into the ground.
15- IPX8: The product is protected against immersion up to the indicated depth.
16- IP5X: The product is dust protected.
17- IP6X: The product is dust tight.
18- Immediately replace a cracked or broken safety glass and only use borosilicate parts of the same dimensions,
with a minimum thickness of 3 mm.
19- Protection class I: the product or component has an earthing connection. The earth wire (yellow/green) has to be
connected to the terminal marked with .
20- Protection class II: the product or component is provided with double or reinforced insulation.
21- Protection class III: the product or component is only suitable for safety extra low voltage supply (<50Va.c.;
<120Vd.c.).
22- Strip the wire as indicated on the icon.
23- The earthing wire always has to be longer than the brown live (L) and blue neutral (N) wire.
24- The use of the supplied heat-resistant sleeving is required over the unstripped wire lengths.
25- The product is only suitable for wiring directly to the electrical mains supply.
26- X-connection: In case of damage to the wire, it has to be replaced by a wire of the same type.
Y-connection: In case of damage to the wire, it has to be replaced only by the manufacturer, distributor or by an
expert, to avoid risks.
Z-connection: The external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the
luminaire shall be destroyed.
27- MAX. …W: only use bulbs suitable for this product and keep within the maximum specified wattage.
28- The product is only suitable for reflector bulbs.
29- The product is only suitable for CFL-i - or LED-bulbs ( e.g. E14, E27, Gu10, Gx53, …)
30- The product is not suitable for CFL-i - or LED-bulbs ( e.g. E14, E27, Gu10, Gx53, …)
31- Only a bulb with a diameter of 60 mm can be used. A bulb with a 45 mm diameter must not be used for this
product.
32- Only use a globe bulb that has the size of the indicated diameter. Never use a standard incandescent bulb.
33- This product is only suitable for candle shaped bulbs.
34- The product is only suitable for a bulb with built-in safety or a low pressure bulb. An extra safety glass is not
necessary.
35- Capsule and linear halogen bulbs may not be touched by bare hands.
36- The product is equipped with a fuse. If the product is out of order after bulb replacement, the internal fuse has to
be replaced.This must be done by a qualified electrician if contact with internal wiring can be made.
37-The product is dimmable with the supplied dimmer or with a (not included) dimmer connected to the electrical
installation of the home. For reference please visit "www.philips.com". Consult a qualified electrician for choosing
the suitable dimmer type.
38- The product is working with a safety transformer. Replace a broken transformer only with a transformer with
identical technical specifications. Consult a qualified electrician or your retail outlet.
39- Product for rough service.
40- Product with time and light setting options. Minimum and maximum is indicated on the icon.
41- The product can be mounted up to a maximum height of 6 m.
42- For reliable operation, you have to mount the product on the specified height as indicated on the icon. The
maximum and minimum reach of the detector is also indicated.
43- The standard active range of vision of the detector covers the given degrees indicated on the icon.
44- This product should be mounted horizontally. For longer life, the bulb should not be at an angle greater than 4
degrees.
45- Ensure not to drill through electrical wires or any other obstruction in the wall or ceiling during installation!
46- If the product is mounted onto a ceiling-box or wall-box, it is obliged to cover the box with a lid first. (e.g. The
Netherlands)
47- Electrical wiring may never be clamped or twisted between the product and the mounting surface!
48- Parts of this product may get hot.
49- This product is not suitable for children under Y years.
50- Mount the product out of arm reach (X1: for children, X2: for adults).
51- The product is only settable during installation by means of a tool.

• Untuk memastikan pemasangan, penggunaan, dan fungsionalitas produk yang benar dan aman, selalu ikuti
